SARK had a profound impact on my life. Back in 1999, I was in the process of moving out from my live-in boyfriend of 5 years. It was a painful process, to say the least. My dear friend, Susanna, was also going through a breakup at the time and we spent hours crying our eyes out together. She then gifted me with a copy of SARK’s book, Succulent Wild Woman–it was like gift from the Gods. It was a profound experience. I felt like she was speaking directly to me and she helped me heal.

Susanna and I decied to do SARK’s “Marry Yourself First; Promise to Never Leave You” ritual. We went to the beach, bought rings for ourselves and wrote vows. We witnessed each other marry ourselves and it was beautuiful. Shortly after, I met my now husband Rob and feel deeply in love with him. I found myself in a healthy, nourishing, supportive relationship. Coincidence?
