Dear One,
I hope all of you had a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love. I sure did…it was wonderful to be with both my daughter and my mom on that special day.
For today’s Wake-Up Call Wednesday, I wanted to share with you the poem I wrote for my mama for Mother’s Day. My mom is one of my personal “sheros.” So mom, this one’s for you!
For My Mom – You Are The One

You are the one
Who shows up every time
With a fabulous dish
And open arms
Ready to listen (really listen).
You are the one
Who smiles
And hands over the beautifully wrapped gift
And says, “This made me think of you.”
You are the one
Who arrives early
Just in case you need a hand setting up.
You are the one
Who sneaks into the kitchen
And does the dishes
After the party of 100 of your closest friends
(Who when thanked exclaims with a wave of the hand
“Oh I was just putzing.”)
You are the one
Who makes us all feel seen
And deeply loved
Hugging us saying
“Everything is going to be OK.”
You are the one
Who everyone wishes
They could call Mom.
I am so lucky!
Love,
P.S. I’d be honored to have you share my poem with your community and to hear from you. Please let me know your thoughts below![/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
