Dearest One,
TA-DA!! My baby girl arrived in all her glory 2 weeks ago on March 5th at 10:11pm. (Pssst…are you

We had two first names and two middles names that we were deciding between and wanted to wait until we met our baby girl to decide. It was abundantly clear which name was right once we looked into her little eyes and felt her energy.
Introducing Evie Rose Ahlers, weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and 22 inches long. She arrived with great speed, after only 5 minutes of “pushing” (which felt more like holding on for dear life as my body completely took over and ushered her into the world!).

At some point, I will likely write more about all the lessons natural childbirth taught me and all the things I’m re-learning as I cocoon with my newborn. But right now, I just don’t have the energy! My days are fille
d with nursing, diaper changes, naps, nursing, and did I mention nursing?!
For now I’ll just say that I’m honored Evie chose our family and my heart is bursting at the seams with love for her. And to see her and her big sister, Annabella, together makes me feel like everything is right in the world.We are blessed indeed.
I hope you are feeling blessed today and everyday. Remember, you are doing a good job and you matter!

Thank you for introducing Evie Rose. she is so lovely. I so remember when it was a major undertaking to squeeze me moment to wash my hair. Most precious days. I was thinking about you just past few days. Wondering and knowing you must be taking time, learning to be mother to brand new arrival Evie, making family heart space to be, to grow and to learn together in. Picture of Annabella and Evie just divine. In the middle of all the craziness, marvelous to witness the miracle of life still happening, So made my day……bust through some big fat lie.
