P.S. I am so committed to spreading the good word when I encounter people doing wonderful things. Which is why I was so thrilled when I had the privilege of meeting a new friend named, Michael Eisen, who is dedicated to empowering youth. He joined forces with his own father to bring us a brand new inspiring new book called Empowered YOUth:

This inspiring story offers tools and resources, combined with optimism and hope, that will help those looking to make changes in their own lives and empower youth in a more supportive, open, and intuitive way.  Empowered YOUth: A Father and Son’s Journey to Conscious Living is a blueprint for restoring peace and repairing connection in the modern family. Woot!

GO HERE TO CHECK OUT EMPOWERED YOUTH!

Thank you so much for leaving your comments below and sharing my posts and videos. You’re the best! Today, let me know how you will use your Feminine Super Power of Vulnerability.

My big fat lie: I’m supposed to be perfect, stay on the straight and narrow, and make sure that everyone else is fine and happy – never mind me………..
I can see that others have more friends and confidantes as they are more easily vulnerable. They are more comfortable revealing private things/hurts about themselves. I was taught to not reveal myself because others could use these things against me for hurtful purposes. There’s loads of fear with vulnerability………..
Yikes, but I’ll give it a shot.

My big fat lies are that I am not enough (I am not strong enough to achieve my dreams, I’m not talented enough, I’m not funny enough) and when I have money and am out of debt, I will be happy. It feels very real because I am out of money and my family and I might be homeless for the second time in our lives.

I agree with Marygreta. I was raised not to share weaknesses or really what was going on in your life because people can and will judge you. they will use it against you, people pray on weaknesses. Vulnerability is very scary for me because it feels like opening the gates to the enemy and standing there unarmed, but I know I am safe and I have the ability to be vulnerable.

I am enough. I am doing the best I can and that is enough. I am working everyday towards my goals. It’s scary but I can do it.

  3. Fantastic! In some of the groups I’ve been hangin’ with for a long time, we are not supposed to have any problems or struggles or not have answers–they are folks that have mystical experiences and those that are seeking understanding at that level.

This has always bothered me because I know that no matter how deeply you go spiritually, there are challenges, and real strength is often found in not knowing. Even though I could share at this ‘oh so spiritual’ level and have, I try to be open with my struggles. But I want to, and am willing to pull out my super powers and strip down even more!

I love the way even thinking about this feels inside! It’s that wonderful mixture of scary and excited butterflies. I think I’ll put on my cape and work on some blog posts right now! (I don’t really have a cape but it’s not a bad idea.)

Thanks Amy! Wonder Twin powers unite!

  4. Sophie says:

Being vulnerable about whats going on in your head really can help a problem and make you feel more like a superstar again. I was open and vulnerable the other day when I confessed to my boyfriend that I was scared that the major hardships his family were going through were going to harm our relationship. I had previously kept this to myself as I didn’t want to further burden him but it was eating away my confidence, and ability to be a loving and supporting partner. In being vulnerable with him, I was able to realise that I was actually stronger than I gave myself credit for and the fact that we could be vulnerable with each other was one of the things that makes our relationship so powerful. Vulnerability tames our fears and awakens our inner strength.
Thankyou for pointing me to that term, so many other adjectives to do with being open and soul sharing have negative connotations
