  1. Wendy says:

I am sick and tired of the economy and worrying about my own money problems without being able to do anything more about them. I stay positive but still a bit scared.

  2. Lisa says:

Im sick and effin tired of the media (thus the context we live in,aka America) promoting skin and bones on a woman. Do these men really want to bed down with a skeleton?
Women we need to band together en masse and say no to being skeletons and yes to our Maryln Monroe plus figures. When need to stop watching/reading and supporting TV and mag’s that push this absurdity.

  3. Erika says:

I’m sick and tired of my current lifestyle! I’m sick and tired of working in Customer Service for 40+ hours a week with the 2 hour commute everyday. I’m sick and tired of most of my waking hours going to a job that while it isn’t terrible, it’s just mediocre and I don’t want my life to be mediocre! I need to escape the corporate rat race! It’s exhausting!

What I’ve decided to do to take a stand is I’m going to put together a portfolio of my photography that I do on the weekends and find a website to show my work. I also have some ideas on making a photo book/project on themes like, the river park in the city I live, or waterfalls in my area. I’m getting excited just thinking about it!!! 🙂

  4. Shakira says:

I am sick and tired of trying to change my partner who is trying to quit alcohol because he use to be an alcoholic for a couple of years. Him and his entire family are grateful to my support and love for him which has brightened up his life. He calls me and texts everyday and tells me he loves me. Its been a year and I want to start moving onto marriage but he says he wants to possibly in a couple years. I can see he is a little scared of commitment but does everything else perfectly, he massages me when im sore, he cooks sometimes, he is loving and physically affectionate and doesnt ‘need’ sex like other men. I am the one who tends to get more horny than him. At the moment i have moved to queensland for a couple months so we are doing long distance relationship.

  5. Shakira says:

Hang in there I think that you should keep trying to get a job. Being unemployed can be tricky because you fear you will not be given the opportunity to work as you want to. You might fear losing independence in the long-term. Have no fear. As long as you have a reasonable amount of skilss/ past work history I am sure will you get a job. Its just about time. And dont worry about what other people say. Some people feel ‘pity’ for someone who doesnt have a job but they cant help how they react. Its ok for them and for you. You know who you are and you shouldnt take their ‘care’ ‘onboard’ or personally. Youre amazing, keep your life filled with exciting and vibrant, things and ideas and learn something new each day. That way youre not losing time!

  6. Gnger says:

I am sick and tired of feeling like crap all the time. I am sick and tired of hurting myself by over eating. I really am sick and tired of this headache, though, it makes me want to chew my own head off. I am SO sick and tired of having to hide how I really feel (physically) with my family (can’t scare the kids) and friends (still? really? awwww) I can hardly get of my bed or leave my house anymore. It scares me. I hate being scared. Tomorrow, I’m putting on my shoes and I’m gonna walk to the mailbox.

    • Shakira says:

I wish you all the strength in the world to start being honest with yourself about how you feel and making time for YOU so that you can be a better wife and mother. I hope that you can start to feel somewhat free and energetic.

  7. Tree says:

I am really sick and tired of all the emphasis on personal growth and development when there is a nuclear crisis in Japan that is affecting the whole planet. It is time to “wake up women” and to be more concern about ending nuclear power than tidying up your house or getting new pairs of underwear. Come on, there are hugely important issues to be concerned about in our world. We have got to put more emphasis on solving our energy crisis and saying “no to nukes” instead of saying “no to whatever is not working in your personal life. We have to go beyond our personal saga and care and take action more for the world we live in.

Thank you so much for this comment. I felt alive with fire as I read it, because it speaks to a big piece of what why I think it is so vital for us to get in touch with something like what we’re sick and tired of. It is a wake-up call to let the fire ignite so we stop sleep walking. We see the images on TV, maybe even reach out to loved ones in Japan, but it can be so hard to know how to stay awake and make a difference…especially when it is so removed from our daily lives.

I do not beleive the answer is to turn away from our own personal growth or solving our own issues. I believe our healing leads to all healing, our staying awake and taking action in anything from underwear upgrades to stopping the cycle of comparison with airbrushed models to walking around the block IS a step in the right direction for everyone.

As I’ve transformed my own life to be one I love and watched countless clients do the same I see renewed energy around giving back, around staying awake, around being in service. And most importantly around feeling the deep connection in the soul that we are all one and that we must be there for each other.

So please know this isn’t about leaning into personal saga and keep us from everything that is going on in the world. It is about creating action and inspiration and joy in our lives so that we can have the energy to give back in the biggest way possible.

      With love and gratitude,

P.S. I also feel inspired to put a link to donations for the crisis in Japan based on your response. So thank you for deepening my commitment to making a difference.

  8. Cathleen says:

I’m sick and tired of being overweight! I’m sick and tired of binge eating and emotional eating. I can’t wait for the day that I can figure this whole thing out and lose the unwanted pounds on my body and discover the beautiful physical self inside me.

  9. claudia says:

I’m sick and tired of be small, play small and hide myself…waiting for someone to give me authorization to be as i know i am.
Thanks Amy for give me the space to say loudly: i allow myself to shine my colours in the world and create a sparkling lifestyle that nourish me at every level!!!!
    Many, many shining blessing!

  10. Joy says:

I am sick and tired of putting the things that do provide abundant income, and a life on the back burner.

  11. rosylee says:

I’m sick and tired of my ex husband calling me names (psycho etc.) over the past 7 years. I’ve seen the police about it again and they’re going to tell him there’s to be no contact! Such a relief.

I’m also sick and tired of the unqualified ‘we are all one’ mantra. In my experience there’s more to this ‘we’. There are predators who prey on the vulnerable who only appear to be human (See Robert Hare’s Without Conscience) – are we one with these predators too? Makes me shudder to think.

  12. cate says:

i’m sick and tied of my fear to be big in the world, to believe in myself as an artist to fully stand behind myself. I’m sick of shrinking. i can only manage day by day modest acts of courage and to just keep making art practising trust rather than a fabulous leap (though leaping is very appealing)

  13. Julie says:

I’m sick and tired of my house always being a mess. I get it picked up, turn around, and someone has already put something on the stairs, spilled something on the kitchen counter, or strewed the contents of their latest project all over the living room– you get the drift. I can’t stay ahead of it, and it’s now out of control. I’m embarrassed to have anyone over. I can only make a dent here and there, and the clutter is driving me nuts!!!

  14. Audrey says:

I’m totally in agreement with everyone’s clutter frustration – I’m gradually getting a handle on one room at a time – probably because I scheduled a visit from a clutter consultant and in some perverse way that’s got me moving on cleaning up! 😉

What I’m sick and tired of right now is how little progress I’m making on my job/client search – in part because I get sidetracked by things like clutter – and then I’m sick and tired of my self-talk over how little I’m getting done on what *really* matters (getting some income).

What am I doing about it? First I’m trying to not just make lists of all the things I should be doing, but actually scheduling them on my calendar – that helps a little because I can see that I’ve really done something. Now I need to be able to give myself a little recognition when I finish one thing – there are just so many things to do, individual accomplishments feel insignificant.

  15. Astrid Maria says:

Why Amy, thank you! For making me notice I may be annoyed or even rather tired of some things at times, like

    – females portrayed in movies ánd documentaries as 60 kilo’s of lean meat to be either slayed by the bad guy or rescued by the good one
    – university being so little about real, true, human life worldwide and so much about overrational nitty-gritty details
    – people seemingly taking it as a matter of fact I need to find a new man ASAP to feel complete, and
    – The Secret plus the clones of it telling my if I don’t have the perfect health, wealth, man, ferrari etcetera it is all on me –
    But now…

    – I write loads of articles for magazines on true, powerful ánd loving femininity..
    – ánd now I write university papers too, hopefully one day to be turned into a book on Goddess spirituality, tantra, Kali and other juicy bits of refreshing insights on the female…
    – anything I run into online or in print suggesting I should go out there getting myself another man (again..) while I am simply happy this way right here right now, I just smile at knowingly, delete the lot and move on
    – I got rid of my copy of The Secret, went back to my beloved Kabbalah studies and now, pressure off, live happily knowing that God is my co-pilot and I don’t need to take that huge rock of false responsibility on my neck anymore:
    – feel blissfull through and through being modestly succesfull in my career…
    – am pretty healthy but with some scars to show I may not have Secreted my way out of getting into hospital but indeed lived and made it through…
    – and am faaar from materially wealthy but thoroughly appreciative of my small but pretty rental appartment, a bit of savings to get me through college, and a full fridge every week…

so, that is what I do, and thank you for reminding me I am not sick and tired anymore! (well, almost never.. I am human…)

  16. Maria Emilia says:

I’m Sick and tired of crying over my ex. I still love him and maybe that will or won’t change, but I’m going to move on, start dating other guys and remember who I am.

  17. I’m sick and tired of putting things off!! LOL! I’m only just reading this!!
Aries going into Mars … and boys am I ready to move! 🙂

Lovely. Just what I needed today. Thank you!

  18. Lisa Marie says:

I am sick and tired of the double standard at work, the cliques, and the different treatment the “special” people receive (those people in the cliques). I have begun to “talk” about it. When I do, though, I am just a “pot stirrer”. I want to see some changes though.
